Waikato Wedding Photographer: Alan And Silua's vineyard wedding at Vilagrads

"My love for you is a journey; starting at forever, and ending at never."

Alan and Silua's journey has probably been a little bumpier and more challenging than they expected...together they've survived more than their fair share of ups and downs, including a cancer diagnosis, treatment and everything that comes with that.  They were celebrating Alan's 'all clear' with a party when he surprised Silua with a very romantic proposal.  It turns out Silua was the only one who was surprised because everyone else already knew...and apparently there were a lot of (happy) tears that night.

Happy tears was a bit of a theme with these two actually...happy tears and a lot of love....from the getting ready...

to the ceremony itself...

There was apparently a bit of discussion about whether Silua's Dad would actually hand over his only daughter when it came time...but he did :-)

And there was not a dry eye in the place...

It's a beautiful thing when this is the 'straight after the kiss' shot...

Alan and Silua now hold the Nicola Inglis Photography record for the largest bridal party photographed to date...21 wonderful friends and family (including a flowergirl who didn't make it into this picture)...all of them carefully chosen and honoured for the part they've played in Alan and Silua's journey thus far.

They had some pretty important tasks too...

a bit of pre-ceremony ring carrying practice...

The boys testing the bar (someone has to!)

And then we took Alan and Silua off for some alone (apart from us) time around Vilagrads...

This image just makes me melt a little bit...I love it! (shot by Christel)

while Bryce and I hid in the bushes all around and shot different angles.

How cute are these two together?!

and it wouldn't be a Vilagrads wedding without a cellar shot or two :-)

Silua melted me a bit more when she emailed a couple of days later to say that this part of the day was her highlight, and that it really brought her back to the important things.

Me too :-)

Thank you so much for having us be part of your day!
