Kristen and Denne's stunning wedding at Cascade Gardens, Omokoroa

One of the things that makes photographing weddings so special is the stories...there's the love story but there's also the friends stories...

Kristen and Denne were very lucky to have an awesome support team of bridesmaids and groomsmen...

(and let's just pause for a second to love that bouganvillia covered porch)

I love this moment just after Kristen's sister Megan had put in her veil...

And these gorgeous portraits of Denne (taken by Pip) before the ceremony...

And then the ceremony...I could rave about the gorgeous light under the huge white canopy (but probably only photographers would be interested) and I could rave about the beautiful setting but really what made this wedding was the emotion...and those stories again...

(I have personal soft spot for this image because we just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary and I remember so clearly the moment at our wedding when I looked up and caught a glimpse of my hubby waiting for me...I hope Kristen gets to look back as happily as I do 18 years from now)

Nothing says 'newly married' clearer than that weird feeling of wearing a ring when you've never worn one before...love this detail!

And then we went for a wander around the gardens for bridal party and couple photos...and found some yummy late afternoon light...

before stealing Kristen and Denne away on their own down to the jetty...

Now I just have to point out that I was standing up to my ankles in crab-infested mud to get the angle I wanted for this shot...because that's how I roll...and there may not actually have been any crabs in reality but there were a heap in my imagination and those ones are worse!

Congratulations Kristen and Denne...thanks for having us along for the ride!
