A style shoot with a milliner? I'm so there!

A couple of months ago  Tony McKay, a photographer buddy of mine, offered me the opportunity to shoot with him on a style shoot he was planning with a milliner...and you know how excited I get about millinery and hat things...so you know I didn't need to be asked twice!  It took a lot of planning to pull together and the weather was cold and wet but we did it! Two fabulous models; Rosa Hughes and Courtney Brandt together with Brenda from Obsession doing hair and Kylie-Ann from Voluptuous Devine doing makeup...and of course the beautiful hats themselves courtesy of Monika Neuhauser.

It is so much fun (and a bit of hard work but mostly fun) to work on these shoots...there's time pressure like any shoot and I'm always very conscious to make sure I come up with shots everyone can use...but I love the opportunity to play. And of course great models make it so easy!

So I pushed myself a little and tried to shoot and edit differently to how I usually shoot and edit (it's also a bit of a treat to not have to edit for consistency but instead to let each image inspire a different editing style)...what do you think? (oh, and how awesome would these headpieces be for a wedding?!)

The gorgeous Courtney...

and this is the gorgeous Rosa (who mostly worked with Tony except for right at the end!)

and the team photo!
